For those of our service users who outgrow our residential homes, either through changes in their behaviour, improvements in their abilities and independence or a combination of the two, we are pleased to provide our Supported Living Project as a move-on option.
33 St Johns Church Road provides a specialist service to adults with a mild to moderate learning difficulty and associated challenging behaviour. The project focuses on developing skills and competencies that enable people to live more independently. Participants in this programme are expected to move rapidly through supported living.
The project concentrates on helping to develop useful routines and occupations, including workplace activity and continuing education. Service users are actively encouraged to take control of the running of their home and to learn the requisite skills to know how to do this.
3 Ashley Avenue is home to three adults with severe learning difficulties as well as complex health and behavioural needs. This service offers medium to long-term care solutions and endeavours to create a warm, personal and friendly atmosphere.
